Twitter Debacle

As a new user in Twitter, I was pretty peeved about the low number of people following me. So I googled and got a new wizard which promised will get me followers in hundreds in no time while making me auto-follow hundreds. Enormously impressed with these numbers, and moreover the Wizard being free, I instantly activated it without any second thought. Here you go babe…I sang under my breath. I didn’t have to wait too long.

Here they come, as promised, in hundreds! I gaped at my ‘following’ list silently growing by every passing minute. A day later the status was, I was following 634 only-god-knows-who users from all over the World, and I had been rewarded with a ‘following me’ list of more than 300 hookers!!

Suddenly I felt like a holy sex guru with hundreds of followers. I spend the next two days deleting and blocking them off. But followers kept flocking in (much to the envy of Swami Nithayananda). At last I had to ditch my account and start a new one. Today I’m tweeting with a thin list of followers.

P.S: Lalit Modi and Sashi Tharoor are still following each other. So why don’t you follow me?
