The Tomato Story (About Page)

Joshi Mukard is a wandering soul with no place to call ‘home town’. He was born in Kerala, brought up in Kanyakumari Dt in Tamil Nadu, and currently living in Bangalore, shifting his base across the city on a yearly basis with fellow (unfortunate) wanderers, his wife (Libena) and little daughter (Tanaya).

Despite all these, Joshi is a happy soul with no complaints on anything. He wakes up in the morning and sleeps at night and in-between he ducks, stumbles and dances through this world.

Tomato Blog

Earlier in his life, Joshi made an audacious attempt at writing a novel and publishing it. After almost 500 days of hard work, the manuscript was sent to publishers and reviewers. He simply received rotten tomatoes as feedback.

Though he felt kicked in the teeth, he realized that he needs to hone his skills further before taking another shot at novel writing. Thus was born this blog.

The only positive he could pick up from the disastrous first attempt was the rotten tomatoes. So he gave this blog the name ‘tomato blog’, which he thinks will remind him how bad his previous attempt was, and how far he has to go in bringing out a good book.

Tomato.blog is a pointless time-waster. If some of you think the author still does not cut it or find it difficult to tolerate his often tasteless and senseless humor, do send your rotten tomatoes to him. He will take it on his face and strive towards betterment.

  9. Ahhhhhh… this explains so much!!! This blog was *not* what I was expecting to find on my search, but I’m sure I’ll be coming back again, considering this is the second post on it that I’ve read. Don’t ever give up on your writing, by the way. You obviously have talent, just judging by what I’ve read in this single post (the other was a guest post).

  10. And I thought this was because you like tomatoes. At least I do. My dream is to buy a tomato farm. If not, grow tomatoes in my garden.

  11. I was wondering why you named your blog “tomato blog”.. this explains!:)

  12. No rotten tomatoes from me. Keep blogging. The book may not be too far in the future. Try publishing online. I am told that is a good option for newbie writers.

  13. Stay strong – let us know if we can help
