Running madly after a woman!!

After buying a scooter recently, I’m teaching my wife how to ride. First we tried taking doubles ride, and me helping with the handle from behind, but this proved to be a difficult one as she found it difficult to manage the extra weight of me. So now she rides alone and I’m assigned to run behind the scooter holding the carrier bar.

Every evening after coming from work, I simply run behind my wife!!. With some more of these running, I should be able to participate in the next Olympics for marathon and hopefully win it, atleast for my dad who heard the news of my running from an unknown source, called me once over phone and reprimanded, and I just about managed by saying it’s part of my daily exercise – poor old fellow, how can he understand the dog’s life of a modern-day husband.

By the way, if you’re in Bangalore and happened to see someone running like a mad man at 50 mph after a scooter driven by a woman, it’s Joshi Mukard.

P.S: In one of my previous posts, I have mentioned how I got into buying a scooter. To read, click here.

About Joshi Mukard (81 Articles)
The author is a wandering soul with no place to call his home town. He was born in Kerala, brought up in several parts of Tamil Nadu, and currently living in Bangalore, shifting his base across the city on a yearly basis with fellow (unfortunate) wanderers, his wife (Libena) and little daughter (Tanaya). Despite all these, the author is a happy soul with no complaints on anything. He wakes up in the morning and sleeps at night and in-between he ducks, stumbles and dances through this world.

  5. lol. This reminds me the time when my dad taught me to ride the bicycle. He used to huff and puff, holding the bicycle seat, as I peddled the perimeter of our colony. He must’ve lost a few kgs by the time I got the balance right. You’re behind the scooter, you must be super fit now 😀

  6. I can understand. Replace Wife with Mom and that is my story.

  7. Hahah, The title was too funny to skip this post. I think I have seen you 😛

  16. Glad she’s mobile, Joshi. Wish her happy riding from me. I remember I had a moped (no clutch and gears) when I was a teenager and it was the joy of my life.

  17. bad knees – very true.

  19. Now it wudnt be difficult to spot you from the bangalore crowd..there wudnt be many who do this 🙂 but looking from the positive side, will help you shed that few extra kgs…:-) Life’s like that

    • But you have missed the chance to spot me. I no longer run after my wife because she has become an expert rider, and the second reason being, I have shed a lot of weight that even I couldn’t recognize myself. Haha!
