Running madly after a woman!!
After buying a scooter recently, I’m teaching my wife how to ride. First we tried taking doubles ride, and me helping with the handle from behind, but this proved to be a difficult one as she found it difficult to manage the extra weight of me. So now she rides alone and I’m assigned to run behind the scooter holding the carrier bar.
Every evening after coming from work, I simply run behind my wife!!. With some more of these running, I should be able to participate in the next Olympics for marathon and hopefully win it, atleast for my dad who heard the news of my running from an unknown source, called me once over phone and reprimanded, and I just about managed by saying it’s part of my daily exercise – poor old fellow, how can he understand the dog’s life of a modern-day husband.
By the way, if you’re in Bangalore and happened to see someone running like a mad man at 50 mph after a scooter driven by a woman, it’s Joshi Mukard.
P.S: In one of my previous posts, I have mentioned how I got into buying a scooter. To read, click here.
lol! good one!
Thanks Deepak. I was not sure how readers will receive this post. Thanks for the positive comment.
“By the way, if you’re in Bangalore and happened to see someone running like a mad man at 50 mph after a scooter driven by a woman, it’s Joshi Mukard.”
ennikum vayya after all the running!!
Does she look behind to check? Then why are you wasting your breath!
yes, she does.
Thanks for wishing me
Ha, ha keep running u will build stamina….But how do you manage to run on the clogged blore roads…?
Bhaag Joshi bhaag….
BTW where in Blore do you stay? Until recently I was on the Bannerghata road….
I stay near Begur, it’s kind of remote area, so there’s a lot of place to run around.
lol. This reminds me the time when my dad taught me to ride the bicycle. He used to huff and puff, holding the bicycle seat, as I peddled the perimeter of our colony. He must’ve lost a few kgs by the time I got the balance right. You’re behind the scooter, you must be super fit now 😀
yes, I’m fit now. Thinking of participating in the marathon. Thanks for commenting Sriram.
I can understand. Replace Wife with Mom and that is my story.
haha, thanks for the advise
Hahah, The title was too funny to skip this post. I think I have seen you 😛
Thanks for not skipping this post. I always try to make headings as funny as possible.
o god! so cute! I’m in splits reading this one….cheers to the “racer couple” 😀 🙂
Thanks. Good to know you liked it
Nice way to maintain fitness and showing solidarity with your wife:)
yes, like two birds in one shot.
now i’d have to stalk the Bangalore roads to catch the glimpse of THE funny man following a woman on a scooter…with luck i won’t be jailed!:-)
if nothing else, yes you might have an alternative career in the Olympics:-)
and btw how long does she need you run after her-are you sure it is not a trick to derive sadist pleasure of you panting behind her for old times’ sake?;-)
“are you sure it is not a trick to derive sadist pleasure of you panting behind her for old times’ sake?” – even I sometimes think so
Happy to know you like it. Thanks
Ha ha ha… I am sure the evenings are entertaining now. All the best with the lessons! 😀
both entertaining and painful
Dear friend, run beside her lah! Why run behind n eat dust?! Hehe.. Whatever it is, as long as she is happy, you are happy, I am happy! Be well n happy always!! 😀
happy to read your comment
Ha ha Hilarious. More amusing is the cartoon for it seems a young boy is running after his mom riding the scooter. LOL
Give a click:
Cartoon is interesting, well, most wives behave like moms.
heehee 😀 Good for you. 😛 This will keep you fit. 😉 See how considerate your wife is about your health. 😉 How can we women be so good! 😉
Too much of running could make me fit for nothing, haha!!
A stitch in time saves nine…so a little bit of running now would free u of the future ‘drop n pick up’ thalavedana! So this time joshi is all out for ‘women empowerment’ 😉 So can ur wife finally ride the bike now?
Yes, she rides better than me.
Glad she’s mobile, Joshi. Wish her happy riding from me. I remember I had a moped (no clutch and gears) when I was a teenager and it was the joy of my life.
Thanks, will do.
When you are a teenager nothing gives more joy than riding a bike/moped and when you grow older you start liking cars.
True. Some may think of that as a natural progression to being more prudent and prosperous. I call it bad knees.
bad knees – very true.
I read about your book, as soon as possible I will try to get a copy.
Thanks muchly, Jm. That would be awesome..
Now it wudnt be difficult to spot you from the bangalore crowd..there wudnt be many who do this 🙂 but looking from the positive side, will help you shed that few extra kgs…:-) Life’s like that
But you have missed the chance to spot me. I no longer run after my wife because she has become an expert rider, and the second reason being, I have shed a lot of weight that even I couldn’t recognize myself. Haha!
Run Joshi Run!
I have stopped running, unfortunately!!
exactly what i am doing now
hahahahaha….best of luck my dear friend
